Going to be removing exhaust here when I get a chance and once weather gets a little nicer to spray with a high heat enamel. Like a BBQ paint, it's flat black and is good to 1200*F. Just wondering on the best way to remove all the rust(surface) and have a nice clean surface for paint. I was thinking just a buffing wheel and maybe brake cleaner if theres any oily residue? Thanks for the input.

A wire wheel and brake cleaner would work good, and maybe use scotch brite or emery cloth to make sure its all clean.... ive heard of a few guys using bbq paint and they say it works pretty good, thats my plan, when i get an exhaust im gonna get aluminized and paint it with bbq paint, should make it last longer too  Grin
